Who I Work Best With
I work best with adults, couples and seniors who recognize themselves in some of this:
-
Anxiety, worry or overwhelm has started to shape your days.
-
You are carrying a grief or loss you have not had room to sit with.
-
Your self-esteem has worn thin, or a harsh inner voice is hard to quiet.
-
A relationship or marriage is under strain, and you want to work on it on your own or together.
-
You feel the weight of family expectations, or of carrying two cultures at once.
-
You are the one who holds everyone together, and you find it hard to ask for help.
-
A life transition has left you unsure of who you are now.
MY APPROACH
I believe people do their best work when they feel safe, unhurried and understood. My approach is warm, patient and collaborative: I meet you where you are, and we move at your pace.
I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy for practical skills: noticing the thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck, and building on what is already working in your life.
I also use Internal Family Systems (IFS), which looks at the different parts of us shaped by what we have lived through, such as the part that keeps the family together or the part that finds it hard to ask for help. Getting curious about those parts, rather than fighting them, is often where things begin to shift. My work is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive throughout.

What Sessions Look Like
Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly or biweekly, online across Alberta or in person in NW Calgary. 80-minute sessions are available for individuals and couples when the work needs more room. The first session is unhurried: we talk about what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. From there we set goals together, build coping skills at your pace, and check in openly on how things are going. Sessions can be held in English, Hindi or Punjabi.

Language & Culture
I offer therapy in English, Hindi and Punjabi. For many people it matters to talk about family, identity and expectations with someone who understands the particular pressures of carrying two cultures, of being the one who holds the family together, and of finding it hard to ask for help.
