Discover Compassionate Therapy for Anxiety and Well-being

The path through life is rarely straight, and at times, we find ourselves in the shadows, lost, uncertain, or weighed down by struggles that seem larger than ourselves. Therapy is not about fixing what is “broken,” but about turning inward, listening deeply, and uncovering the wisdom already within. At Pathfinder Therapy, I offer counselling in Calgary for individuals and couples, always trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally sensitive. Together, we explore your story, your patterns, and your strengths, helping you rediscover meaning, wholeness, and a path that feels truly your own.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy focuses directly on the impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences – whether that is a single event, childhood trauma, or years of chronic stress. We pay close attention to your nervous system and sense of safety, working within your window of tolerance so you are never pushed too far, too fast. Using approaches like EMDR, IFS and other trauma-informed methods, we’ll process what happened, soften triggers and shame, and help you feel more present and in control of your life again.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is for anything in your life that feels heavy or stuck – anxiety, low mood, burnout, people-pleasing, grief, or questions about who you are and what you want. Together we’ll clarify what’s actually going on, connect it to your history and current stressors, and build practical tools you can use between sessions. I draw on CBT, ACT, IFS and mindfulness-based approaches to help you understand your patterns, make different choices, and create a life that feels more honest and sustainable.

EMDR Therapy

A structured, evidence-based approach for processing traumatic memories so they feel less intense and less in control of your life. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) while we safely work with the memories, beliefs, and body sensations linked to past events, always within your window of tolerance.

Focus Areas

People seek therapy for many different reasons, and no two journeys are the same. At Pathfinder Therapy, I often work with clients navigating challenges such as:

Anxiety & Stress

Overthinking, restlessness, and the constant feeling of being "on edge." Together, we'll build tools to calm your mind and body, and create space for ease.

Couples & Relationship Concerns

Struggles with communication, conflict, intimacy, or trust can leave couples feeling disconnected. Therapy helps you understand each other more deeply and build lasting connection.

Depression & Low Mood

When life feels heavy, joy and motivation can seem far away. Together we'll explore the roots of your struggle and work toward renewed meaning and energy.

Trauma & PTSD

The echoes of painful experiences can linger long after the event. With a trauma-informed approach — including IFS — we'll work gently and safely to process what's been carried.

Self-Esteem & Identity

Doubt, shame, or questions of "Who am I?" can hold us back. Therapy creates room to explore your story, reconnect with strengths, and move toward greater authenticity.

Mens Issues

Many men feel pressure to stay strong, hold everything in, or figure things out alone. Counselling offers a space to let down the armour and explore identity, relationships, and emotions without judgment.

My Approach

Every client's journey is unique, and therapy should reflect that. I draw from several evidence-based methods, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Each approach offers different ways of working: exploring inner parts of the self, reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, developing acceptance and mindfulness, or processing trauma safely. Blending these methods allows us to find the right balance for your needs, always within a trauma-informed, person- centred, and culturally sensitive framework.

Your path toward clarity, healing, and growth doesn’t have to be walked alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honoured to support you along the way.

What to Expect

Beginning therapy can feel uncertain, and it’s natural to wonder what the first steps will look like. In our initial sessions, we’ll focus on understanding your story, clarifying your goals, and building a sense of safety and trust. Therapy will move at your pace — never rushed — with space to pause, reflect, and explore in a way that feels manageable. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and tools while respecting your process.
